Hi, I’m Deborah.

I’m 28 years old. I was born in Hong Kong, I grew up in Sydney, Australia and now I live in New York, NY. I grew up playing the piano and dreaming of studying at Juilliard, but ended up working as an external auditor at Ernst & Young.

Over the past few years, I realised this career path is not for me. So I’ve decided that – one way or another – I’m going to write Broadway musicals. I know this illusive path is a long road to walk; one that will have a few incredible highs glimpsed and a whole lot of frustrating lows littered along the way. I might never get anywhere near my dream of having a musical open on Broadway; I might succeed beyond my wildest dreams. I don’t know. I just know that I will regret it every day for the rest of my life if I don’t make an effort to try.

“No day, but today.”

Whoever you are, out there, reading this, I hope you’ll walk with me and find that sometimes, the road less travelled is the road more fulfilling.
